The Career and Technical Education Department (CTED) provides advise, support, and training for Ventura County students and districts. The CTED’s strong leadership role as an educational liaison provides linkages for school districts, community-based organizations, industry, and governmental agencies. The CTED sponsors and participates in activities to promote communication and collaboration leading to outstanding training programs. The CTED works with districts in developing programs and services to help students transition into post secondary education and/or meaningful employment. CTED partners with business and community members to enhance classroom training by providing opportunities for job shadowing and internships, opportunities to work with mentors and do field work, articulation with post-secondary education, and contacts for potential employment.
