California State Preschool Program/Prekindergarten and Family Literacy Program (PKFLP)
In collaboration with five school districts the Early Childhood Programs Department provides high quality preschool experiences and promotes school readiness for children 3 and 4 years of age. The Program, supported with literacy coaching, serves 194 children in the following school districts, Hueneme, Ocean View, Oxnard, Rio and Santa Paula.
Preschool for All (PfA)
The Preschool for All Pilot Project is one of nine funded demonstration projects in California with rigorous program standards ensuring high-quality programming for children 0-5 years-old. The Project is supported with on-site technical assistance and serves over 590 children in the Hueneme and Ocean View School Districts.

California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN)
CPIN is coordinated by the Early Childhood Programs Department, in Ventura County, and brought to you by the California Department of Education, Child Development Division in collaboration with the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd and the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). CPIN provides professional development and technical assistance to preschool teachers and administrators to ensure preschool children are ready for school. ECE Stipend Project
The ECE Stipend Project encourages early childhood education (ECE) professionals to obtain higher levels of education by awarding monetary stipends to selected participants who meet specific eligibility criteria and complete approved college units that apply towards the Child Development Permit and/or a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development. Environment Rating Scale (ERS) and Technical Assistance
The ERS Project assesses the environment of the classroom to determine the level of quality and provides technical assistance to support increased quality.
