The Ventura County Teacher Induction Consortium is a two-year, developmentally sequenced program of support and assessment for newly credentialed teachers in California. The program is accredited by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and is administered by the Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE), Educator Support Services department in coordination with a consortium of 22 school districts, local charter schools, private schools, and 5 university partners. 

The Induction Consortium provides services to teachers who have a Preliminary Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Education Specialist Credential. Combining online and face-to-face professional development coursework and completion of formative assessment documents during fieldwork with an experienced mentor, each candidate is guided to successful demonstration of required program competencies.

    • An Individualized Learning Plan documenting completion of the credentialing process and professional growth

  • Opportunities to expand your educational resume
    • University coursework credit available for salary advancement (dependent upon your district’s specific policies). 
    • Credit toward master's degree programs with Grand Canyon University (VCOE-GCU MA Partnership)

Program Registration for 2017-2018

Candidate Registration for the Ventura County Teacher Induction Consortium is now closed. If you would like to be notified when registration opens for the 2018-2019 school year, please complete a Request for Program Enrollment Notification.

Units for Induction

Candidates that purchased units for a previous year of Induction and need to request a transcript, go to California Lutheran University Registrar's website. Official transcripts may be requested after July 30th of each year. 

Program Transcripts (not for CLU Units)

If you need to request a program transcript for evaluation by another induction program, you will need to complete and submit a Transcript Request Form in order for our office to release your records. Please see form for instructions.

NOTE: this transcript is NOT for units earned from CLU. See announcement above "Units for Induction" if you require a transcript of your units.

Applying for Clear Credential

If you completed the Induction Program in 2016-2017, please login to the ESS Canvas website, click the current course you are enrolled in, click MODULES in the left-column, and follow the instructions under the module titled "Procedure for Obtaining Your Clear Credential".
