Health Services Standards
and Practices Committee

School Nurse Representatives from districts meet monthly as a Committee facilitated by the VCOE Comprehensive Health & Prevention Programs Director.  The group addresses issues relative to providing consistent, high quality student health services, in collaboration with district staff, Ventura County Public Health, agencies, organizations, the Self-Funding Authority, and others.  The Committee develops policies, protocols, standards of practice, and standardized forms used county-wide.  School Health Office Protocols, Management of Students with Diabetes, Guidelines for Management of Pediculosis, Health Office Assistant's Manual, and Medication Authorization Forms are a few of the documents produced.
