The BTSAIC Special Education Program offers professional development beyond the university Teacher Preparation Program and tailored to special education needs. This program is designed for Preliminary Education Specialist Level 1 credential holders.
Features of the program include:
- Professional development individually tailored to the unique needs of special education teachers provided through classes;
- Support and Mentoring from a trained, peer Support Provider;

Development of an Investigation of Professional Practice (IPP) and Individual Induction Plans (IIPs);

University coursework credit available for salary credit (dependent on your employing school district's policy); and

Credit toward a University’s Level 2 Special Education Induction Program
