Principal's Message

Eric Castaniero

Welcome to the Triton Academy Website.  It is my pleasure to serve as Principal of Triton Academy, which is an alternative educational referral program serving 21 districts in Ventura County for students with a primary diagnosis of Autism who require an intensive, structured, and caring environment to meet their educational needs.

We have three instructional strands aligned to California State Standards. College and Career Readiness serves students with a focus on functional academics and life skills acquisition. College and Career Readiness Adapted serves students in a modified academic track program, which provides access to grade level essential standards with remedial materials to meet specific learning needs. College and Career Readiness Connected is a diploma -based program for students who are at or near academic grade level with accommodations to meet specific learning needs.

As a CHAMPS National Demonstration site, Triton Academy promotes well-defined, high expectations of all students and staff. These expectations are attained with the support of small classroom sizes, dedicated certificated teachers, and specialized staff support from specially trained paraeducators, behaviorists, a social emotional specialist, a psychologist, speech and language pathologists, and an occupational therapist.

Parents are our partners in their child’s educational journey. We encourage participation through our Triton Academy Parent Association at school events such as dances, a jog-a-thon, and a talent show.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to our continuing service to the many communities of Ventura County.

Sincerely,
