Notations appearing on the matrix in bold are mandated requirements of NCLB.

Notations appearing on the matrix in italics are recommendations by the CDE.

Please note that the following matrix is pertinent only to Title I schools that are in PI status; Title I schools designated PI have not met their AYP for two consecutive years.

At any time, schools may exit PI status by meeting AYP requirements for two consecutive years.
