Dr. Staci Block

Prior to joining the team as a Coordinator ll at the beginning of the 2007-08 school year.  Dr. Staci Block was an educator in the Santa Monica-Malibu School District.  She is a National Board Certified Teacher with experience teaching at both the elementary and middle school levels.  She also taught abroad in an intensive English Language Academy in South Korea for two summers.  She was involved in a high degree of teacher collaboration as a Cotsen teacher fellow and participated in Japanese Lesson Study Design.

Dr. Block's professional interests include mathematics instruction and reform, shared leadership, teacher inquiry and collaboration, writing instruction, and effective instructional programs for English learners.  She is a team member of the achievement analysis and provides professional development for contracted schools in mathematics, writing and creating collaborative teacher teams.
