Prior to joining the team as a director at the beginning of the 2006-07 school year, Dr. Michael Babb served as an elementary school principal for ten years, most recently at E.P. Foster Elementary School in Ventura Unified School District. Before that, Dr. Babb taught at the elementary, middle, high and adult school levels, and coordinated bilingual programs in several schools in northern California.
Dr. Babb's professional interests include collaborative leadership, and the development of effective instructional programs for English learners. He leads achievement analyses, coaches principals, and provides professional development for contracted schools. In addition, Dr. Babb coordinates the California Distinguished School and Parent Involvement programs for Ventura County Schools.
