Tobacco Use Prevention Education

The purpose of the TUPE program is to reduce youth tobacco use by helping students make healthful tobacco-related decisions through tobacco specific educational instruction and activities that build knowledge as well as social skills and youth development assets.

Health & Early Childhood Programs staff provide a variety of technical assistance services including:

  • District consultation
  • Site visits
  • Conference
  • Staff development workshops
  • Monthly meeting to promote comprehensive and effective alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention programs

Funding Source:  Proposition 99 funding through the California Department of Education.
