Michael Fullan, one of the world’s foremost experts on sustainable change in education, will focus on the concept of Motion Leadership and how you can “cause” positive movement in individuals, institutions, and whole systems.
Motion Leadership is founded on some key assumptions:
- Practice drives practice;
- The speed of quality change can be enhanced by focusing on a small number of factors that can leverage change; and
- It is important to engage larger swaths of the system.
Examples will be provided at the school, district and state levels of what motion leadership looks like in practice.
