Advice for Talking to Students about the Las Vegas Shooting

In the aftermath of a tragedy, parents and educators face the difficult task of explaining senseless violence to children and teenagers. These events can create stress and anxiety for young people, even when they are not personally affected. Adults should strive to provide reassurance and an opportunity for students to express their feelings. We offer the following resources about appropriate ways to discuss these issues with children.
