The Ventura County Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Induction Consortium (BTSA·IC) is a two-year, developmentally sequenced program of support and Assessment for newly credentialed teachers teaching in California. The BTSA IC Program is administered by the Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE), Teacher Support Services department in cooperation with a consortium of 22 school districts and 5 university partners. Components of the BTSA IC Program include:

  • Recommendation for the Clear Multiple/Single Subject Credential upon completion of all program and CCTC requirements;
  • An Induction Portfolio documenting completion of the credentialing process and professional growth;
  • Support and mentoring from a trained peer support provider;
  • Professional development provided through Classes and formative assessment;
  • Early completion option is available for qualified participants;
  • Release time for professional development activities or peer observation; and
  • Professional development and/or University coursework credit available for salary advancement (dependent upon your district’s specific rules).

Change of MyPDC Login Password
This is a reminder that if you have not already changed your login password to the MyPDC website, it is highly recommended that you do so to comply with general security policies. Applying for Clear Credentials
If you completed BTSA and need to apply for your clear credential, instructions were emailed to all Year 2 and Early Completion Option participants in June of each year. If you did not receive this email, the instructions are also available in "General Program Forms" page under the Links section on this webpage (see below) and in the MyPDC main menu under "Documents and Resources - BTSA/IC General Program Information and Forms." 

Units for BTSA
If you purchased units for BTSA from California Lutheran University (CLU), please note that the grades for the 2008-2009 school year have recorded. Please refer to the directions below for requesting your transcript. Thank you.

Official university transcripts must be requested by you in writing. The BTSA Program cannot request transcripts as they are confidential records and will only be released at the request of the student. I
nstructions for ordering transcripts are available on the CLU Transcript Requests website. Please reference the following course numbers when ordering your transcript:
  • Year 1 participants - EDUC 811A/811B (5 units total)
  • Year 2 participants - EDUC 811C/811D (5 units total)
  • Early Completion Option (ECO) participants - EDUC 813A/813B/813C (7 units total).
