VENTURA COUNTY INTERN PROGRAM
______________________________________________________________________________
Through Internship Grant funding provided by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, The Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE) administers a collaborative partnership with Service Area Districts to include California State University - Channel Islands, California Lutheran University, Azusa Pacific, Loyola Marymount, National University, University of LaVerne and University of the Pacific, to develop a quality internship program including financial and faculty support to qualified first-year teachers in the areas of mathematics and sciences to enhance K-12 instruction across Ventura County.
The program leads participants to a Single Subject, Multiple Subject or Special Education Credential with a CLAD/BCLAD emphasis, established by modern pedagogical methods for the role of the educator in a cross-cultural setting, and applying the California Standards for the Teaching Profession to ensure the intern’s extensive and thorough professional development is achieved.
Program entry begins each fall. For more information, please contact Lori Rangel at (805) 437-1320.
