You may obtain a classified application by selecting one of the following options:

■  For most openings, you may apply online at EdJoin.org

A separate application form must be submitted for each position for which you are applying. Resumes may be uploaded but may not be substituted for the official Ventura County Office of Education Edjoin application. Some positions also require a testing process. Bilingual (Spanish/English) and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements for each position are noted in the job announcement. Your application will be accepted only if it completely filled out and clearly indicates that the minimum requirements for the position are met. It is your responsibility to assure that your application contains sufficient detail for us to determine your qualifications. Your completed application is part of the examination process. The information you give will be subject to review and verification.

FINAL FILING DATE

All applications must be filed in the Human Resources Office, 5189 Verdugo Way, Camarillo, CA 93012, no later than 4:00 p.m. on the final filing date listed on the job announcement bulletin. The applicant is responsible for assuring that a mailed application is received in the Human Resources Office by the filing deadline. Do not send application to or contact the hiring department; inquiries are to be directed to the Human Resources Office only.

FINGERPRINTS

Having a record of criminal convictions will not necessarily disqualify you from a position with VCOE. However, false information or incomplete answers may result in rejection of your application or dismissal from employment. Fingerprints will be taken and checked through the California Department of Justice. No individual shall be allowed to begin employment until fingerprints are cleared.

REFERENCE CHECKS

Reference checks will be conducted on all applicants who are being considered for a position with VCOE. A signed application gives authorization to VCOE to contact your previous or current employers regarding your job performance.

TESTING

Testing will be required for some positions to qualify the candidate for further consideration. If testing is required, pertinent information will be noted on the Job Announcement Bulletin. Arrive promptly at the test site. You will NOT receive a written or verbal reminder. Applicants who arrive LATE to testing site will not be allowed to reschedule and will be disqualified from the screening process.
