- The California Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1973 gives all employees the right to file a complaint about workplace safety and health hazards. To file a complaint go to Cal/OSHA.
- All work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents must be reported immediately to your supervisor and to Company Nurse at 855-602-5267.
- Comprehensive School Safety Plans are structured strategies that outline how a school prevents, prepares for, responds to, and recovers from emergencies. They cover areas like campus security, emergency procedures, communication protocols, and coordination with local agencies to help ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
- An ergonomic evaluation is an assessment of a person’s workspace, tasks, and equipment to ensure they are designed for comfort, safety, and efficiency. It helps identify risk factors—such as poor posture or repetitive movements—and provides recommendations to prevent strain and injury. To request an evaluation, please contact HRAdmin@vcoe.org.
- Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) is a written workplace program that outlines how an organization identifies, evaluates, and controls hazards to protect employees. It includes procedures for training, reporting and investigating incidents, correcting unsafe conditions, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan is a proactive approach to controlling pests that focuses on prevention, monitoring, and using the least harmful methods first. It combines strategies like sanitation, habitat reduction, and targeted treatments to manage pests effectively while minimizing risks to people, property, and the environment.
