Teacher Support Services

 

The Credential staff for the Ventura County Office of Education provide services for obtaining various types of credentials in California, renewing a California credential, or adding authorizations to existing credentials.

Appointments for office consultations are highly recommended and are available Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Telephone inquires are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Credential Programs Offered

Teacher Induction Programto obtain a clear Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Special Education teaching credential

Administrator Induction Programto obtain a clear Administrative Services credential

Orthopedic Impairment (OI) Added Authorization Program to add an OI authorization to a current special education credential

Language & Academic Development (LAD) Credential Program to add a LAD authorization to a current special education credential

Designated Subjects Credential Program to obtain a Career Technical Education (CTE), Adult Education, and/or ROTC credential

California Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program (CSEP): grant program that assists classified employees with obtaining teaching credentials.

Teaching Permit for Statutory Leave (TPSL): preparation program for potential substitute teachers to teach in long-term substitute teaching assignments that occur due to statutory leaves.
