Important Coronavirus Updates - 3/27/2020

All VCOE in-person classes are cancelled through May 1.  We hope to resume on Monday, May 4.  In light of our current situation, instruction has moved to a Distance Learning model, primarily through Google classroom and hangout.  Classes already using the Canvas online platform will continue to do so.

Our instructors have been reaching out to students to determine who has access to Distance Learning, to include internet access and devices.  We request that any student who has not yet communicated with their teacher please email the teacher at the email address on the "For Students" webpage.

Thanks to all of you for doing our part in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus in our communities.

Welcome to the Career Education Center

Welcome to Ventura County Career Education and the 2019-2020 school year! We have a number of new and dynamic courses this year, with career pathway classes hosted at public high school campuses across the county and at our two Career Education Center locations in Camarillo and Moorpark.  Our pathways are based on California's Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards.  Our county middle school programs offer elective courses introducing career pathways and are designed to feed into local high schools.  Our high school programs are designed to feed to our community colleges:  Moorpark College, Oxnard College, and Ventura College. CTE programs are designed to align with program requirements of a High-Quality CTE program as defined by the California Department of Education, with courses in fall 2020 meeting the 300 or 150 hourly requirement.  Courses are not designed to be credit recovery programs.  Please click on the tabs on the left for our course catalog, registration information, and for more details and assistance. We are always here to help.
