Special Populations

The Special Populations Educational Support Department provides oversight for a number of different programs in school districts within Ventura County. Among the main programs are Homeless, Foster Youth Services, Migrant Education, Migrant Education Even Start, Cyber-High online training, Mini-Corps and Migrant Education First Five. Each different program offers staff development, educational materials, parent involvement, and supplementary instruction to eligible students. Thus while serving a variety of students, these programs support unique populations with special educational needs. In all situations, an effort is made to help students remain in school to complete their education.
