Student Competitions
2022-23 Events

With the many changes our school districts, staff, and students continue to experience during this time of COVID-19, the Ventura County Office of Education believes it is more important than ever for Ventura County student competitions to take place during the 2022-23 school year. We have determined that the coming year events will be virtual. We are hopeful that we will be able to return to in-person events the following year.

We want to continue to encourage and recognize our exceptionally talented students in their pursuit of academic excellence. In addition, these events will continue to provide our students with solid work ethics and valuable life skills such as; public speaking, interview, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

In cooperation with our many community partners, the Ventura County Office of Education, Student Competitions and Fundraising Department provides, promotes, and supports environments that result in world-class learning by hosting the Ventura County Science Fair, the Ventura County Mock Trial, the Ventura County Academic Decathlon, the Ventura County Impact II Program, the Ventura County Teacher of the Year program and the VCOE Principal for a Day Program.

These educational experiences promote the pursuit of Science, Civic Responsibility and Academic Achievement while encouraging and recognizing our exceptionally talented young people and educators in their pursuit of academic excellence.

Spreading the excitement of exploration, learning and growing is a cooperative education effort. Without the help and support of our sponsors, volunteers, parents, and teachers, these worthwhile events would not be such a great success.

On behalf of the Ventura County Office of Education, I thank you for your participation and hard work, and look forward to many fun, successful, and educational events.
