K-12 Competencies in Mathematics
Vicki Vierra, Math Specialist K-12, is a state board approved SB 472 provider for all mathematics programs. Vicki's expertise and leadership supports 
standards-based mathematics and algebra instruction in Ventura County Schools and districts, as well as service on numerous regional and state-level mathematics boards and committees.
Build mathematical proficiency for all students through a sustained professional development program focused on:
- Analyzing student data to strategize curriculum planning
- Deepening teachers' knowledge of the math concepts underlying the CA Math Content Standards
- Expanding a teacher's tool kit of effective instructional strategies
- Scaffolding the algebraic concepts leading up to the CAHSEE Standards
- Developing mathematical literacy-reading, writing and speaking the language of mathematics
- Maximizing implementation of standards-based, state-adopted math programs.
