The purpose of the Health & Early Childhood Programs library is to maintain a current resource library of curriculum reference materials and videos. These materials are available for check-out by school staff, college and university students and other residents of Ventura County on a variety of comprehensive health topics.

The Health & Early Childhood Programs department continuously promotes the use of current, effective curricula and materials in health and physical education. Moreover, the resource library contains materials that are not readily available in any other facility in Ventura County. The library is open daily, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Come visit us!
The Health & Early Childhood Programs Library collection is not yet available on-line; however, the Health & Early Childhood Programs Video Collection is available in the VCOE Library through the Educational Services section at: www.vcoe.org
The California Healthy Kids Resource Center is administered for the California Department of Education and Department of Health Services. Materials can be borrowed for four weeks with free delivery in California. Materials available for loan have been reviewed by the Center's Materials Review Board of health education teachers, health professionals and university faculty in California.
