Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)

To develop its Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), the Ventura County Office of Education gathers input from all stakeholder groups: parents, teachers, principals, administration, bargaining units, local district personnel, representatives of the English Learner Parent Advisory committee, the Parent Advisory Committee, foster youth, and community partners.

The VCOE LCAP committee meets regularly to provide input and guidance on the development of the LCAP. Surveys and focus groups are used to gather data from all stakeholders. Parent and community input cards are also used to gather feedback during in-person meetings. The Ventura County Board of Education is provided reports on the development of the LCAP prior to board adoption.
