Family Child Care License Pathway

To be eligible to receive an incentive from QCVC Teaching Stars through the Family Child Care License Pathway, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a Family, Friend and Neighbor provider active in Ventura County Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) 

  • Complete a Professional Growth Plan or Reflection Plan with your Child Development Resource CCIP coach  

  • Be working to obtain a license by June 15, 2021

To receive a stipend for participation in the Project, you must fulfill the following program requirements: 

  • Complete the online portion of the application on the CA Workforce Registry  

  • If you do not have a CA Workforce Registry ID, click here to watch a short video 

  • Sign and upload the supplemental forms including a W9 and self-employment verification form to your CA Workforce Registry account 

When you've received your family child care license:

  • Upload a copy of your License or Facility Evaluation Report by June 15, 2021 to your CA Workforce Registry account 

  • Upload your Professional Growth Plan or Reflection Plan

  • Complete a year-end survey regarding your participation in QCVC Teaching Stars 

QCVC License Stipend Amounts 

$500 minimum 

QCVC Teaching Stars Stipend Disclaimer 

Stipends are contingent upon availability of program funds and the number of eligible applicants. Stipends must be declared as income subject to income tax.
