The Ventura County Office of Education operates three special education classrooms for students with moderate to severe disabilities in grades nine through twelve at Ventura High School. Each classroom benefits from smaller class sizes and high staff to student ratio. Instruction is designed to meet the individual needs of each student throughout the school day. Teachers use research-based curriculum, evidence-based instructional strategies, and assistive technology to teach functional skills aligned to the California State Standards. Students have opportunities to participate in campus classes/activities and community-based instruction throughout the school year.
