Fiscal and Administrative Services

The Fiscal & Administrative Services branch provides service and support to all VCOE operations as well as the school districts in Ventura County.

The  branch engages in a variety of activities which include payroll for over 20,000 employees, Internet service to over 200 school sites, retirement counseling, training classes, workshops and credentialing assistance to Ventura County's 5,000 plus teachers. 

We endeavor to be proactive in recognizing the ever changing needs of our educational infrastructure and the effect on students, staff and the public. We are dedicated to service, support, and working cooperatively with each other as well as outside agencies in achieving our organizational objectives. 

Services and Departments
Expanded Learning Services
Expanded Learning Services include components of extended day learning, Supplemental Education Services (SES) and the Region 8 After School Programs (ASP) Technical Assistance Office; and serves the needs of districts, students, and parents. 1,2,3 Success/VCOE, an approved SES provider, tutors more than 1,200 school-aged children at 64 schools in 16 districts. Facilities
Facilities oversees all new construction and provides maintenance and repairs to all facilities owned or occupied by VCOE. Facilities are located throughout the County, from Ojai to Simi. read more ...

Human Resources
Human Resources provides personnel recruitment and selection, credentials and licensing, risk management and Live Scan fingerprinting services to all departments within VCOE.  In addition, the department also sponsors job-alike networking and training opportunities to both internal departments as well as client districts throughout the County. read more ...

Business Services supports all business, accounting and printing needs of all departments within VCOE and to work cooperatively with school districts’ staff to maximize available educational resources through efficient and effective utilization of funds. read more ...

The Personnel Services Department is comprised of Human Resources, Teacher Support Services and Expanded Learning Services.
