Regional and County personnel provide professional development throughout the year for school and district administrators, District School Leadership Teams (DSLT) and school teams as described below:
- Provide technical assistance on program requirements and related information to identified PI schools and districts through county-sponsored workshops, on-site visits, phone conversations, email, and web resources.
- Provide guidance in developing/keeping/assigning NCLB “Highly Qualified” teachers.
- Encourage participation in AB 430 and SB 472 trainings of principals and teachers in PI schools.
- Present program requirements and related information to school boards,superintendents,district level cabinets, and professional organizations.
- Encourage the use of CDE approved assessment tools to examine school and district culture, and their implementation of the nine Essential Program Components (EPCs).
