Purpose: to support and advocate for quality child care in Ventura County by acknowledging  the  unique needs of children and caregivers, by educating and collaborating with families and community agencies

Goal: to serve as the united voice for child care in Ventura County and carry out the mandates of California Education Code 8499 as a Local Planning Council

The Child Care Planning Council specifically undertakes activities designed to promote the accessibility of safe, affordable and quality child care and development services.

Health & Early Childhood Programs staff serves as staff to the Council to assist the Council in performing its prescribed duties and functions.

CCPC is funded through the California Department of Education - Child Development Division.
