Multilingualism Leadership Network

Multilingualism Leadership Network (Formerly EL and DL Networks)

The Multilingualism Leadership Network is composed of educational leaders who support Multilingual Learners from districts across our county. Meetings are designed to support the needs of English learners, immigrants/refugees, world language learners, heritage students, and newcomer students in Ventura County's districts and schools.

The goals of this professional network is to:

  • Deepen understanding of the CA English Learner Roadmap policy and Global California 2030 initiative through sharing information on English Learner policies, programs, services, and assessments
  • Provide professional learning and collaboration that builds on asset-based pedagogy to support quality programs, systems, and instruction that meet the crucial need of equity, diversity, inclusion, social justice, and Comprehensive English Language Development
  • Utilize guiding documents and frameworks for planning, self-reflection, areas of growth for professional development, and continuous improvement
