High School Welding Program

Perfect for students who are new to welding, this course builds foundational skills in material cutting and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), emphasizing welding safety, theory, and hands-on practice, preparing you for AWS Certification and entry-level jobs.

Adult - Intro to Welding

Designed for beginners or career changers, this program focuses on welding safety, welding theory, cutting processes, and SMAW (stick welding). Advanced students may progress to GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), or FCAW as skill and time permit, setting you up for certification or entry-level roles.

Adult-Advanced Welding

Tailored for experienced welders, this course provides ample practice time to refine skills in your preferred welding processes, preparing you for advanced roles or industry certifications.

Adult Introduction to Welding

  • Next Start: August 2026 (Enrollment opens April 2026)
  • Schedule: Full school year (Aug. to June 2026). Fridays | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Cost: $3,000 per year (300 hours of shop time)
  • Details: Beginner-friendly; instructor-led hands-on training covering SMAW theory and fundamentals. Progression to GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW is available based on skill. Includes opportunity for up to four AWS certification exams.

Adult Advanced Welding

  • Next Start: January 2026 (Enrollment is OPEN now) Course starts 01/13/2026
  • Schedule: Full Semester (Jan. to Jun 2026) Tue/Thu | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Cost: $800 per Semester (72 hours of shop time)
  • Details: Self-guided booth time for experienced welders to refine skills. Does not include curriculum or classroom instruction. Provides access to discounted certification exams.

  • Details: A flexible, pay-as-you-go facility rental for independent learners. This non-instructional model provides professional booth access, equipment, consumables, and carbon steel material for self-guided practice.
  • Enhancements: Users are encouraged to utilize optional resources like Miller Openbook™ outside of shop hours to enhance their theoretical understanding and proficiency.
  • Safety Requirement: Requires review/acceptance of ANSI Z49.1 Safety requirements, or completion of the Miller Openbook™ ANSI Z49.1 Safety module before booth access is granted.
  • Note: This is a facility rental model; it does not include academic credit, certificates of completion, or job placement services.
