Brett Taylor, Director

Brett Taylor has served the students and families of Ventura County in public education for over two decades. His experience in Educational Leadership includes Assistant Superintendent, Director of Alternative Education, Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and Teacher. He has managed district-level programs, comprehensive, alternative education, and special education sites throughout the county and continues his career at VCOE supporting our local school districts in any capacity they need.

James Koenig, Director

Mr. Koenig has served in various administrative and teaching capacities, including Director, Student Support Services at Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD), Principal of comprehensive and alternative sites at Santa Barbara Unified School District, OUHSD and VCOE, Assistant Principal, Dean, as well as Adult ESL and High School Teacher. James provides support and communication to local districts offering technical assistance, professional learning and information around state and federal accountability.
