The Ventura County Office of Education department of Leadership Support Services and Corwin are proud to announce the speakers for the 2016-17 L3: Learn, Lead, Launch Professional Learning Series. Included in this year’s lineup are Dr. John Hattie, world-renowned educational researcher; Dr. Russell Quaglia, globally recognized for his unwavering dedication to student voice and aspirations; Jennifer Abrams, international educational and communications consultant training educators on hard conversations; and Zaretta Hammond, who transforms our thinking and learning with a compelling and practical examination of culturally responsive teaching.
To strengthen educators' learning, the series has three theme strands: Visible Learning, Leadership and Student-Centered Vision, and Equity. Speakers are color-coded with their theme to help district teams choose workshops that have similar objectives.We hope that educators will attend as many of the presentations as possible in each of the themes.
