School Closures Extended Through May 1 for All Ventura County Districts

Because of the continued risk to public health posed by the coronavirus, all school districts in Ventura County have extended their closures at least through Friday, May 1, 2020. The new target date to reopen is Monday, May 4, but that will depend on the circumstances at the time. Yesterday, California Governor Gavin Newsom advised parents to prepare for the possibility that schools may be closed through the summer break. While that could happen, we remain hopeful that conditions will improve enough to allow schools to reopen before the end of the school year. The latest updates on school closures are available at www.vcoe.org/coronavirus.
