Excellence in Teaching Technology Grant – Deadline December 1, 2010

The Foundation for Technology Education and Pitsco/Hearlihy & Company are awarding $2,000 to a K-12 technology teacher. The purpose of the grant is to recognize and encourage the integration of a quality technology education program within the school curriculum. Applicants must be members of the International Technology Education Association. (Membership may be enclosed with scholarship application.) Applicants must also be successfully integrating technology education within the school curriculum.

Maley/FTE Teacher Scholarship – Deadline December 1, 2010

Sponsored by the FTE, the $1,000 Maley/FTE Technology Teacher Scholarship supports teachers in their preparation to increase the positive outcomes of technology education. Applicants must be K-12 technology teachers who are beginning or continuing graduate study. They must also be members of the International Technology Education Association. Membership may be enclosed with scholarship application.

K-12 Education Grants - Deadline ROLLING

The Intel Foundation has a strong interest in supporting K-12 and community programs that deliver the kind of educational opportunities that all students will need to prepare themselves to succeed in the 21st century. Intel vigorously supports programs that advance science, math, and technology education, particularly for women and under-served populations. Schools should be located in Arizona, California, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Grants will not support private schools and afterschool programs, but are only considered for public schools and non-profit organizations that have tax exemption status under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3).

Teachers Helping Teachers Award – Deadline ROLLING

LEF would like to acknowledge the many early elementary educators who help other educators. Examples of good deeds include starting a website that shows different and exciting ways of teaching specific subjects, presenting at conferences, mentoring new teachers, or volunteering with extracurricular activities. Individuals can nominate an educator for an award. Every week, a new award winner will be chosen. LEF will send each winner $100 worth of books for their school, along with a certificate that acknowledges their achievement.
