Students at Phoenix Los Nogales School in Camarillo received a big surprise this morning as members of the Oxnard Police Department SWAT team brought them new shoes for the holidays. VCOE has compiled a list of resources for educators to help keep students safe at school. They include a sample threat assessment plan, a crisis response guide and a list of warning signs that could indicate violent behavior.

The Internet Keep Safe Coalition (iKeepSafe.org) has launched a new California Student Privacy Assessment – an independent, third-party review of K12 edtech products, services and websites to demonstrate that their privacy policies and practices meet the expectations of new California laws, as well as current federal student privacy regulations.
