Pay it forward, Contribute to your community, Become a Hackathon Mentor!

What if I'm not a programmer?
  • It's ok!

  • There are many different careers in the STEM industry, and all of them are valuable to a successful team.  Students can benefit from mentors who come from a broad background.

Do mentors need to stay the entire event?
  • No!

  • We request that you volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours anytime throughout the event, but if you have just an hour to spare, we will gladly take that as well.

  • The hours we most need mentors is between 6:00pm-11pm Friday.

Can I be a Mentor and a Judge?
  • Yes! It's actually really great to see the progress the students make by the end of the event, in just under 24 hours!

What's in it for you?
  • Networking- In past years we have had over 70 professionals from the STEAM industry participate as mentors.

  • Benefit from the opportunity to solidify your knowledge by answering student questions.

  • An opportunity to influence the next generation of tech professionals.

When is the next hackathon?
  • Friday, January 10 - Saturday, January 11, 2025

Location?
  • VCOE Conference Center - 5100 Adolfo Rd., Camarillo CA
