Pay it forward, Contribute to your community, Become a Hackathon Mentor!

We can't do it without you!

All Ventura County School Districts have jointly agreed to keep their campuses closed and continue distance learning through the end of the 2019-20 school year in support of the coronavirus mitigation effort.

What if I'm not a programmer?

  • It's ok!
  • There are many different careers in the STEM industry, and all of them are valuable to a successful team.  Students can benefit from mentors who come from a broad background.

Do mentors need to stay the entire event?

  • No!
  • We only ask that you volunteer for a minimum of 3 hours anytime throughout the event, but if you'd like to volunteer for the whole event, that's ok too.

What's in it for you?

  • Networking-Last year we had over 70 professionals from the STEM industry participate as mentors.
  • Learn something by either sitting in on or even teaching a tech workshop.
  • Benefit from the opportunity to solidify your knowledge through answering student questions.
  • An opportunity to influence the next generation of tech professionals.

When is the next hackathon?
