LAD and OI Application Process

DEADLINE TO APPLY: OCTOBER 5, 2015


(1) MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • All candidates must hold a valid Intern, Preliminary/Level 1, or Clear/Level 2 California Education Specialist Credential.
  • Additional requirements:
    • For the Orthopedic Impairment (OI) Added Authorization Program, candidates must have access to students with eligibility of OI and Health Care plans.
    • For the Language and Academic Development (LAD) Credential Program, candidates must have (1) access to one student with IEP goals in the areas of language/communication, academics, and behavior/social/pragmatics and (2) if an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) credential holder, evidence of passing RICA and appropriate subject matter exams. 
  • Submit a completed District Program Enrollment Verification Form that is approved and signed off by you, your site administrator and your district's Human Resources or Director of Special Ed. This form verifies your district's approval of your application to the program and agreement to payment of program fees. Note: the District Program Enrollment Verification Form will need to be in an electronic format (PDF or picture format such as JPEG) in order to be submitted through the online application process.


(2) TO BEGIN THE APPLICATION PROCESS:

Program applications are completed and submitted through a secured website called "MyPDC" (My Professional Development Center). To gain access to MyPDC, you will first need to request a Login ID by completing the form below (if you already have a MyPDC login, please complete the form to re-activate your ID).
