OBTAIN YOUR PRELIMINARY CREDENTIAL

PLEASE REVIEW AND MAKE SURE YOU MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW BEFORE PAYING THE APPLICATION FEE.  YOU'LL BE ABLE TO UPLOAD YOUR DOCUMENTS IN CANVAS TO START THE APPLICATION ONCE YOU PAY THE DSC APPLICATION FEE.

Follow these steps to complete your preliminary application

Pay the DSC Application/Recommendation Fee   Obtain Verification of your Work Experience   CPR Requirement   Complete a Temporary County Certificate (TCC) - Only required for Ventura County teachers   Submit your documentation to VCOE   CTC's Credential Application Fee

Additional Steps to Complete if You Do Not Hold a Qualifying CA credential (Single Subject, Multiple Subject, or Education Specialist)

Obtain Verification of High School or GED Diploma (or above)   Apply for Certificate of Clearance (COC)
