Ventura County Credential Programs - Applications for wait list are being accepted

We are now accepting applications from new candidates, returning Year 2 candidates and Support Providers. For application instructions, click the program you wish to apply to:

General Education Induction Consortium (BTSA/IC)

Education Specialist Clear Credential Consortium (BTSA Special Ed)

Added Authorizations in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Orthopedic Impairment (OI)

Language and Academic Development (LAD) Credential Program

Designated Subject Credentials (Career Technical Education and Adult Education)

Content Area Language and Literacy (CALL)
A partnership between Ventura County Office of Education & California Reading and Literature Project

CALL Institute
Using course-specific texts and materials, teachers will:

  • Receive four days of training over four months, allowing time to practice CALL strategies and return with ideas and questions to share with colleagues.
  • Learn how to design effective instruction that meets the new Common Core State Standards
  • Assess and respond to various levels of English proficiency for English Language Learners through differentiated instruction
  • Collaborate with fellow secondary teachers through a professional learning community

The Ventura COE Teacher Support Services has partnered with Grand Canyon University, and California Lutheran University, to offer Master's degree programs while completing a Ventura COE CTC-approved Clear Credential Program.
