MENTOR QUALIFICATIONS

All individuals registering to be a mentor in a Ventura County Induction Program or the Designated Subjects Credential Program must meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold a California Clear or Life Teaching Credential. In general, mentors should hold the same credential authorization as the program candidate. IMPORTANT NOTE: Those that will be mentoring an Education Specialist candidate must hold an Education Specialist credential.
  • Have a minimum of three years of effective teaching experience.
  • Have been approved and assigned by the program candidate's employing school district/agency to provide mentoring. 

TO BEGIN THE APPLICATION PROCESS:
  • Register online on or before OCTOBER 15, 2018 through GoSignMeUp (GSMU), a secure website. Refer to registration instructions below then click "Start Here".

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: To complete the registration form, you will need to provide your Social Security number and date of birth (required to verify and evaluate yoru credential with the Commisson on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Our system is encrypted to secure your information.)
