All individuals registering to be a mentor in a Ventura County Induction Program or the Designated Subjects Credential Program must meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a California Clear or Life Teaching Credential. In general, mentors should hold the same credential authorization as the program candidate. IMPORTANT NOTE: Those that will be mentoring an Education Specialist candidate must hold an Education Specialist credential.
- Have a minimum of three years of effective teaching experience.
- Have been approved and assigned by the program candidate's employing school district/agency to provide mentoring.
